OUR
GUIDES
Guides
– Our experienced and knowledgeable guides know
this country and want nothing more than to share its
richness and beauty with you. All Guides are professionally
trained; CPR, First Aid and Avalanche certified; share
their knowledge of the area; and provide snowmobile
operation and safety instructions prior to each tour.
MICHAEL TRUMBOWER
- Michael’s father Earl taught him the
joys of nature as a young boy. Growing up
he and his brothers spent their free time
fishing, hunting, and observing wild places and
wildlife. Although he graduated with a
degree from Colgate University, his passion for
wild places drove him west where he landed a job
as camp cook at a hunting camp in the Teton
Wilderness. For the last 27 years Mike
has been working hunting camps during the fall. The past 25 years he's been a guide leading
hunters through timber, and atop mountains
looking for the elusive bull elk. Mike
drove a horse team on the National Elk Refuge
for 14 years; fed and calved cows at a local
ranch for more than a dozen years; is an active
volunteer firefighter in his 20th year; and now looks to his
12th year of
guiding snowmobiles this winter. Mike is a
veteran guide on all trips cooking a
perfect steak lunch at Granite Hot Springs,
playing in the powder at Togwotee, and leading
an educational trip into Yellowstone, he does it
all and does it well.
JULIE
JOHNSTON
- Julie has lived in Jackson
Hole for 26 years and has spent the last 17winters guiding snowmobile trips. She has also
spent several summers running pack trips into
the Teton Wilderness. She also owns and operates
a pet grooming business "All About Pets". In the
snowmobile arena, Julie's specialty is
multi-day, overnight trips into Yellowstone
National Park and the Teton National Forest.
Whether it's a one day excursion or four day
adventure, Julie's extensive knowledge of the
geo-thermal features, and history of the area
promise to make for a memorable trip.

decade. Mike

MARK
WELLARD - Born just a ways away in Idaho and
having lived in the Jackson Hole area for 22 years, I
know how to make the most of the great outdoors. With
over 12 years experience guiding fly-fishing trips on
the river, back-country hunting camps, and snowmobiling
all over, I know this country like the back of my hand.
Come on out and let me show you some of the 'good life'
out here in the Rockies.
SCOTT
LAMBERG – Hello my name is Scott. Ever since I
was knee high to a grasshopper I have moved every two to
three years and lived all around the world. I've
experienced first hand things that most people have
only read about. I moved to
Jackson 10 years ago to snowboard (not knowing what I
was in for), and since then have had amazing
adventures which have drawn me into the allure of the
Jackson Hole lifestyle both past and present. Since
being in the valley I have experienced many things that
most people only watch on the hunting channels and see
in snowmobile videos. My passions are snow machining,
hunting, and building and driving demolition derby cars.
Let me share my knowledge and experience of the Jackson
area and some western hospitality. I hope to see you
soon!
